Ingredients
- 25 g Parsley
- 100 g Sambar Onion Peeled
- 500 ml Bertolli Extra Virgin Olive Oil
- 100 g Garlic - Single Clove
- 50 g + 30 g Snapin Oregano Seasoning + Chilli Flakes Combo
- 100 ml Oleev Olivana Natural Olive Oil (Bottle)
- 525 g Veeba Herby Tomato Pizza & Pasta Sauce
- 16 g Orika Oregano
- 1 kg Tata Salt (Vacuum Evaporated Iodised)
- 1 pack (100 g) Tata Sampann Pure Black Pepper Powder
Instructions
- 1. In a large saucepan, melt 2 tablespoons of margarine over medium heat.
- 2. Add 2 cans (12 oz each) of tomato paste to the saucepan and stir to combine.
- 3. Rinse the tomato paste cans with water and add 4-5 cans worth of water to the saucepan, stirring until smooth.
- 4. Stir in 1/2 cup finely chopped onion, 2 tablespoons olive oil, 2 minced garlic cloves, 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley, 1/4 cup chopped celery leaves, 2 teaspoons dried basil, and 1 teaspoon dried oregano.
- 5. Season the mixture with 1 teaspoon salt and 1/2 teaspoon black pepper, or to taste.
- 6. Cover the saucepan and bring the mixture to a boil over medium-high heat.
- 7. Reduce the heat to low and let the sauce simmer, stirring occasionally, for 2-3 hours to develop the flavors.
- 8. Serve the sauce hot over your favorite pasta, garnished with additional parsley if desired.
