Ingredients
- 100 g Sambar Onion Peeled
- 100 g Garlic - Single Clove
- 5Ltr Vittorio Pomace Olive Oil
- 400 g Zehrat Safa Tomato Paste, 4
- 525 g Veeba Herby Tomato Pizza & Pasta Sauce
- 1 pack (1 kg) Daily Good Small Sugar
- 100 g Catch Sprinklers - Iodized Table Salt
Instructions
- 1. In a large 8-quart pot, heat 3/4 cup olive oil over medium heat.
- 2. Add 1 finely chopped onion and 4 minced garlic cloves to the pot. Cook slowly, stirring occasionally, until the onion begins to brown but does not burn, about 8-10 minutes.
- 3. Remove the onion and garlic with a slotted spoon, allowing any liquid to drain back into the pot.
- 4. Reduce the heat to low and stir in 4 tablespoons of tomato paste. Cook the paste slowly, stirring often, for about 5 minutes to deepen its flavor.
- 5. Add 4 cups of tomato sauce, 3 teaspoons of sugar, and 3 teaspoons of salt to the pot. Stir well to combine.
- 6. Bring the mixture to a gentle boil, then reduce the heat to low and let it simmer uncovered for at least 3 hours, stirring occasionally to prevent sticking.
- 7. Taste and adjust seasoning if needed. Serve the sauce hot over your favorite pasta or use it as a base for other dishes.
