Ingredients
- 1 piece Banana
- 500 G Raw Banana (500Gm)
- 250 ml Virgin Coconut Oil
- - Coconut Oil
- 200 g Table Salt
- 20 g Turmeric Powder
- 500 Ml Champion Oil
Instructions
- 1. Peel 2 raw bananas and slice them thinly using a mandoline slicer or a sharp knife. Ensure the slices are uniform for even cooking.
- 2. In a bowl, dissolve 1/2 tsp turmeric powder and 1/2 tsp table salt in 1/4 cup water to make a turmeric solution.
- 3. Dip the banana slices into the turmeric solution briefly, ensuring they are evenly coated. Remove and let them sit for a few minutes on a plate to allow the excess solution to drip off.
- 4. Heat 2 cups of cooking oil in a deep pan or wok over medium heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C). Test the temperature by dropping a small slice of banana into the oil; it should sizzle immediately.
- 5. Working in batches, carefully add the coated banana slices to the hot oil. Do not overcrowd the pan. Fry for 3-4 minutes, stirring occasionally to ensure even cooking.
- 6. Once the chips turn crispy and golden, remove them using a slotted spoon and drain on a paper towel to remove excess oil.
- 7. While the chips are still warm, sprinkle a pinch of table salt over them for additional seasoning, if desired.
- 8. Let the chips cool completely before serving or storing in an airtight container to maintain their crispiness.
