Ingredients
- 100 Ml Gowardhan Ghee
- 100 g Tutti Fruti
- 500G Madhur Sugar
- Loose Cardamom
- 100 G Coconut Powder
- 500 g Wheat Flour / Maida
- 500 Ml Champion Oil
- 200 g Table Salt
Instructions
- 1. In a mixing bowl, combine 1 cup of all-purpose flour, 2 tbsp of ghee, and a pinch of salt. Mix well until the mixture resembles breadcrumbs.
- 2. Gradually add water and knead into a firm dough. Cover the dough with a damp cloth and let it rest for 15 minutes.
- 3. In a separate bowl, mix 1/2 cup of powdered sugar, 1/4 cup of desiccated coconut, 1/4 cup of chopped tutti frutti, and 1/4 tsp of cardamom powder to prepare the filling.
- 4. Divide the dough into small, equal-sized balls. Roll each ball into a small, flat circle (approximately 4 inches in diameter).
- 5. Place 1 tbsp of the filling in the center of each circle. Fold the circle in half and seal the edges by pressing with your fingers or using a gujiya mold.
- 6. Heat oil in a deep pan on medium flame. Fry the prepared gujiyas in batches until they turn golden brown and crispy.
- 7. Drain the gujiyas on a paper towel to remove excess oil. Let them cool completely before serving.
