- 1 kg Rice
- 500 g Urad Dal
- 500 g Chana Dal
- 500 g Onion
- - Red Chilli Powder
- 200 ml Mustard Oil
- 50 g Asafoetida Powder
- 50G Green Chilies
- 100 g Jeera
- 100 g Salt
- 20 g Turmeric Powder
- 1 kg Yellow Moong Dal
- 100 g Yellow Mustard Seeds
Instructions
- 1. Rinse and soak the rice, moong dal, urad dal, and chana dal together in water for 4-6 hours, then drain.
- 2. Grind the soaked rice and lentils to a smooth paste using minimal water, ensuring a thick batter consistency.
- 3. Add chopped moringa leaves, onion, green chilies, cumin seeds, mustard seeds, turmeric powder, chili powder, asafoetida, and salt to the batter. Mix well.
- 4. Heat a non-stick pan or griddle over medium heat and grease it lightly with oil.
- 5. Pour a ladleful of batter onto the pan, spreading it evenly into a thin pancake. Drizzle a few drops of oil around the edges.
- 6. Cook for 2-3 minutes on one side until golden brown, then flip and cook the other side for another 2-3 minutes.
- 7. Repeat the process with the remaining batter, making 6-8 pancakes in total.
- 8. Serve hot with coconut chutney or tomato chutney for a wholesome breakfast.
