Ingredients
- 1 pack (1 kg) 921 Extra Long Grain Biryani Basmati Rice
- 100 g Amul Butter Chiplets
- 200 g Livyor Raw Sunflower Seeds
- 40 g Orika True Cinnamon Stick
- 50 g On1Y Whole Cardamom Green
- 1 pack (50 g) Tmi Colman Tezpatta Bay Leaves
- 20 g Organeekz Organic Cloves
- 100 g Catch Sprinklers - Iodized Table Salt
- 500 g Whole Farm Grocery Raisins 500 G
Instructions
- 1. Wash 4 cups of basmati rice thoroughly and set aside to drain.
- 2. Heat 1 stick of butter in a nonstick pan over medium heat until melted.
- 3. Add 1 cinnamon stick, 6 cardamom pods, 2 bay leaves, and 6 cloves to the butter and sauté for 1 1/2 minutes until aromatic.
- 4. Add 1 teaspoon of salt and 8 cups of water to the pan, then stir in the drained rice. Bring the mixture to a boil, stirring occasionally.
- 5. Reduce the heat to low, cover the pan, and let the rice cook for 10 minutes.
- 6. Stir in 2 tablespoons of raisins and 4 tablespoons of sunflower seeds. Cover and cook for an additional 5 minutes.
- 7. Remove the pan from heat and let it sit covered for 5 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
- 8. Fluff the rice gently with a fork and serve the pilaf piping hot.
