- 500 g Onion
- - Besan
- 1 l Refined Soyabean Oil
- - Cumin Seed
- 50 g Asafoetida Powder
- 100 g Red Mustard Seeds
- - Red Chilli Powder
- 500G Maida (Refined Flour)
Instructions
- 1. In a mixing bowl, combine the vijay besan flour with water to make a smooth, lump-free batter.
- 2. Add a pinch of everest hing-asafoetida powder, keya turmeric powder, and a small amount of everest powder - kutilal red chilli to the batter for seasoning.
- 3. Add a tablespoon of eastern cumin seeds and 2 tablespoons of zoff red mustard seeds into the batter for added flavor.
- 4. Finely chop the onions and mix them into the batter.
- 5. Heat a frying pan and add a generous amount of sunny soya fit refined soyabean oil.
- 6. Once the oil is hot, pour the batter into the pan and spread evenly using a spatula.
- 7. Cook on medium heat until the bottom becomes golden brown and crispy.
- 8. Carefully flip the Pithore over and cook the other side until it reaches the same golden-brown color.
- 9. Once cooked, remove the Pithore from the pan and drain excess oil using a paper towel.
- 10. Garnish the Pithore with fresh curry leaves and a sprinkle of coconut powder before serving.
