Ingredients

  • 500 g Urad Dal
  • 1 kg Idli Rice
  • 1 l Refined Soyabean Oil
  • 200 g Table Salt
  • 200 g Fenugreek Seeds

Instructions

  1. 1. Rinse 1 cup of organic tattva idli rice and 1/4 cup of tata sampann urad dal thoroughly under running water.
  2. 2. Soak the rice and lentils separately in water for about 4 hours. Add 1/4 teaspoon of earthon organic fenugreek seeds to the soaking lentils.
  3. 3. After soaking, drain the water from both the rice and lentils. Grind them separately into a smooth batter using a little water, if necessary.
  4. 4. Combine both batters and mix them well. Add salt to taste using Keya Table Salt. Cover the batter and let it ferment overnight or for about 8-12 hours until it doubles in volume.
  5. 5. Once the batter is fermented, pour a ladleful onto a heated non-stick pan greased with a little sunny soya fit refined soyabean oil.
  6. 6. Spread the batter in a circular motion to create a thin layer. Drizzle a few drops of oil around the edges.
  7. 7. Cook the dosa on medium heat until it turns golden brown and crispy.
  8. 8. Carefully remove the dosa from the pan. Serve hot with chutney and sambar.
