Ingredients

  • 100 Ml Gowardhan Ghee
  • - Besan
  • Loose Cardamom
  • 500 g Sugar

Instructions

  1. 1. Begin by greasing a deep tray or plate with a little ghee and set aside. This will be used to set the Mysore Pak once cooked.
  2. 2. In a pan, add 200 ml pouch of Govind Cow Ghee and let it melt on low flame, ensuring it doesn’t get too hot.
  3. 3. Slowly add Tata Sampann Besan (fine gram flour) to the melted ghee, stirring continuously to prevent lumps. Roast the mixture on low flame until the raw smell disappears and a fragrant aroma fills the kitchen.
  4. 4. In another pan, make a sugar syrup with Madhur Sugar by adding water just enough to dissolve 500g of sugar. Heat until the syrup reaches a one-string consistency.
  5. 5. Gradually add the roasted gram flour mixture into the sugar syrup, stirring continuously. Add Katdare Green Cardamom Powder to enhance the flavor.
  6. 6. Cook the mixture until it starts leaving the sides of the pan and forms a consistent mass. The texture should be glossy, and ghee should start to separate slightly.
  7. 7. Quickly pour the hot mixture into the greased tray and spread it evenly to the desired thickness before it cools down and hardens.
  8. 8. Allow it to cool slightly, then cut into desired shapes while it's still warm but firm.
  9. 9. Let it cool completely. Once set, serve and enjoy a classic piece of Mysore Pak.
