Ingredients

  • 1 kg Potato
  • - Besan
  • 50G Green Chilies
  • 200 g Table Salt
  • 100 g Amchur Powder

Instructions

  1. 1. Boil the Potatoes: Start by boiling the potatoes until they are soft. Peel and mash them in a bowl.
  2. 2. Prepare the Filling: To the mashed potatoes, add amchur powder and table salt. Mix well to combine the flavors evenly.
  3. 3. Prepare the Chilies: Take green long chilies, slit them lengthwise, and remove the seeds carefully to reduce the heat.
  4. 4. Stuff the Chilies: Stuff each chili with the prepared potato mixture. Ensure they are stuffed fully but not overflowing.
  5. 5. Make the Batter: In a separate bowl, mix besan flour with water to form a smooth, thick batter. Add a pinch of table salt for seasoning.
  6. 6. Heat the Oil: In a frying pan, heat cooking oil over medium heat for deep frying.
  7. 7. Coat and Fry: Dip each stuffed chili in the besan batter, making sure it's well-coated. Gently place it in the hot oil.
  8. 8. Fry Until Golden: Fry the chilies until they turn golden brown and crispy. Remove them with a slotted spoon and drain excess oil on paper towels.
  9. 9. Serve: Serve the Mirchi Vadas hot with your favorite chutney or sauce. Enjoy your spicy snack!
