Ingredients
- 500 Grms Bajra Atta Millets Atta 500 Grms
- - Green Peas
- 250 g Carrot
- 1 kg Bell Peppers
- 500 g Onion
- 300 g Ginger Paste
- 200 ml Ghee
- 100 g Coriander Leaves
- 50g Everest Garam Masala
- 50G Green Chilies
- 100 g Jeera
- 100 g Red Chili Powder
- 100 g Salt
- 500 g Tomato - Hybrid
- 20 g Turmeric Powder
Instructions
- 1. Rinse the millet thoroughly and soak it in water for 20 minutes. Drain and set aside.
- 2. Heat 1 tablespoon of ghee on a tawa (flat skillet) over medium heat. Add cumin seeds and let them splutter.
- 3. Add chopped onion and sauté until golden brown. Mix in ginger paste and green chilies, cooking for another minute.
- 4. Add diced carrots, bell peppers, and green peas. Cook for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- 5. Stir in chopped tomatoes, turmeric powder, red chili powder, garam masala, and salt. Cook until the tomatoes turn soft and the spices are well blended.
- 6. Add the soaked millet and mix thoroughly with the vegetables and spices. Pour in enough water to cover the millet and stir well.
- 7. Cover the tawa and let the khichdi simmer on low heat for 15-20 minutes until the millet is fully cooked and the water is absorbed.
- 8. Uncover and drizzle the remaining ghee over the khichdi. Garnish with chopped coriander leaves and mix gently.
- 9. Serve hot as a wholesome breakfast, accompanied by yogurt or pickle for added flavor.
