Ingredients

  • 100 g Coriander Leaves
  • 50 g Sesame Seeds White
  • 500G Besan (Gram Flour)
  • 200 g Table Salt
  • 25 g Ginger Garlic Paste
  • 50 g Asafoetida Powder
  • 100 g Red Mustard Seeds
  • 20 g Turmeric Powder

Instructions

  1. 1. In a large mixing bowl, combine 1 cup of Tata Sampann Fine Besan, 1 cup of water, 1 cup of Mamie Yova French Yogurt - Strawberry (use plain or remove the flavor if preferred), 1/4 teaspoon of Everest Hing-Asafoetida Powder, 1/2 teaspoon of MTR Turmeric Powder, and Keya Table Salt to taste. Mix well until smooth, ensuring no lumps remain.
  2. 2. Pour the mixture into a large, deep pan and cook on low heat, stirring continuously. Add 1 teaspoon of Smith & Jones Ginger Garlic Paste and continue stirring until the mixture thickens into a smooth, shiny batter (this may take 10-15 minutes).
  3. 3. Once thickened, quickly spread the mixture onto a clean, lightly greased surface or thali, spreading it as thinly as possible using a spatula.
  4. 4. Allow the spread mixture to cool slightly, then cut into long strips and roll each strip tightly into small, cylindrical rolls.
  5. 5. In a small pan, heat 2 tablespoons of Patanjali Sunflower Oil, add 1 teaspoon of DNV Red Mustard Seeds and let them crackle, then add a pinch of sesame seeds and sauté for a few seconds.
  6. 6. Pour the tempering over the rolled Khandvi pieces.
  7. 7. Garnish with freshly chopped coriander leaves (Coriander/Kothambir/Sambhar) and Freshcon Shredded Coconut. Serve immediately as a delicious snack.
