Ingredients

  • 100 g Curry Leaves
  • 500 g Onion
  • 500G Besan (Gram Flour)
  • 200 g Table Salt
  • 50 g Asafoetida Powder
  • 50g Everest Garam Masala
  • 100 g Yellow Mustard Seeds
  • 20 g Turmeric Powder
  • - Red Chilli Powder

Instructions

  1. 1. In a mixing bowl, add 1 cup of Vijay Besan Flour, 1 teaspoon of Everst Hing-Asafoetida Powder, 1 teaspoon of JK Red Chili Powder, and salt to taste.
  2. 2. Gradually add water to the mixture to make a thick batter, then add sliced onion and mix well.
  3. 3. Heat some Olive Oil in a pan. Drop spoonfuls of the batter into the hot oil and fry until golden brown. Remove and set aside the pakoras.
  4. 4. In another bowl, whisk together 400g of Mother Dairy Dailicious PP Curd, 2 tablespoons of Vijay Besan Flour, and water until smooth.
  5. 5. Heat olive oil in a pan and add 1 teaspoon each of DNV Yellow Mustard Seeds, Earthon Organic Cumin Seeds, and Fenugreek Seeds.
  6. 6. Add curry leaves to the tempering and let them crackle.
  7. 7. Pour the curd mixture into the pan, continuously stirring to avoid curdling. Add 1 teaspoon of Annapoorna Turmeric Powder, 1 teaspoon of Everest Garam Masala, and salt to taste.
  8. 8. Cook on a low flame until the kadhi thickens and bubbles start to appear.
  9. 9. Add the prepared pakoras to the kadhi and let it simmer for 5 minutes to blend flavors.
  10. 10. Serve hot with steamed rice or roti.
