Ingredients

  • 1 Kg Til
  • 250 ml Abbie'S Pure Maple Syrup
  • 200 g The Butternut Co. Unsweetened Almond Butter
  • 200 g Livyor Raw Sunflower Seeds
  • 5 kg Madhur Sugar M30
  • 52 g On1Y Seed Cardamom Powder
  • 100 g Jk Jeera Powder / Cumin Powder

Instructions

  1. 1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Spread 1 lb of sesame seeds evenly on a baking sheet and toast them in the oven for 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until lightly browned. Remove and set aside.
  2. 2. In a medium saucepan, combine 8 oz of maple syrup, 3 tbsp of almond butter, 3 tbsp of sugar, 1/4 tsp of cumin powder, and 1 tsp of ground cardamom. Cook over low heat, stirring frequently, until the mixture begins to bubble gently.
  3. 3. Stir the toasted sesame seeds and 1 1/2 cups of sunflower seeds into the bubbling syrup mixture, ensuring everything is evenly coated.
  4. 4. Grease a 9 x 14-inch pan with a small amount of oil. Pour the sesame and sunflower seed mixture into the pan and spread it out evenly using a spatula.
  5. 5. Allow the mixture to cool completely at room temperature until it sets firmly, about 1 hour.
  6. 6. Once set, cut the mixture into diamond-shaped pieces and serve as a sweet and nutty dessert.
