- 1 Kg Lokwan Premium Wheat Atta 1 Kg
- - Besan
- 200 ml Mustard Oil
- 200 g Dahi
- 100 g Coriander Leaves
- - Coriander Powder
- 100 g Jeera Powder
- 100 g Red Chili Powder
- 100 g Salt
- 100 g Til
- 20 g Turmeric Powder
Instructions
- 1. In a large mixing bowl, combine whole wheat flour, gram flour, fenugreek leaves, turmeric, red chili powder, cumin powder, coriander powder, sesame seeds, and salt. Mix well.
- 2. Add plain yogurt and gradually knead the mixture into a soft dough using minimal water. Add oil and knead again until the dough is smooth. Cover and let it rest for 15 minutes.
- 3. Divide the dough into small equal portions and roll each into a ball. Using a rolling pin, flatten each ball into a thin, circular flatbread (approximately 6-8 inches in diameter).
- 4. Heat a non-stick skillet or tawa over medium heat. Place a rolled thepla on the skillet and cook for 1-2 minutes on each side, brushing lightly with oil, until golden brown spots appear.
- 5. Repeat the process for the remaining dough balls. Stack the cooked theplas on a plate and cover to keep warm.
- 6. Serve the theplas warm, rolled up or flat, with a side of tangy yogurt garnished with fresh coriander leaves.
