Ingredients

  • 100 g Methi
  • 1 Kg Lokwan Premium Wheat Atta 1 Kg
  • - Besan
  • 200 ml Mustard Oil
  • 200 g Dahi
  • 100 g Coriander Leaves
  • - Coriander Powder
  • 100 g Jeera Powder
  • 100 g Red Chili Powder
  • 100 g Salt
  • 100 g Til
  • 20 g Turmeric Powder

Instructions

  1. 1. In a large mixing bowl, combine whole wheat flour, gram flour, fenugreek leaves, turmeric, red chili powder, cumin powder, coriander powder, sesame seeds, and salt. Mix well.
  2. 2. Add plain yogurt and gradually knead the mixture into a soft dough using minimal water. Add oil and knead again until the dough is smooth. Cover and let it rest for 15 minutes.
  3. 3. Divide the dough into small equal portions and roll each into a ball. Using a rolling pin, flatten each ball into a thin, circular flatbread (approximately 6-8 inches in diameter).
  4. 4. Heat a non-stick skillet or tawa over medium heat. Place a rolled thepla on the skillet and cook for 1-2 minutes on each side, brushing lightly with oil, until golden brown spots appear.
  5. 5. Repeat the process for the remaining dough balls. Stack the cooked theplas on a plate and cover to keep warm.
  6. 6. Serve the theplas warm, rolled up or flat, with a side of tangy yogurt garnished with fresh coriander leaves.
