Ingredients
- medium Chilli Green Long
- 1 piece Green Papaya
- - Besan
- 100 g Cooking Soda
- 1 l Refined Soyabean Oil
- Pcs Ajwain 50g
Instructions
- 1. In a large mixing bowl, combine 250 grams of Vijay besan flour with 1 teaspoon of Keya turmeric powder, 1 teaspoon of DNV ajwain, 1 teaspoon of Tata I Shakti cooking soda, 1 teaspoon of salt, and 1 teaspoon of Zoff red mustard seeds.
- 2. Gradually add 2-3 tablespoons of Sunny Soya Fit refined soybean oil and mix well to incorporate it into the flour mixture.
- 3. Slowly add water, little by little, to the mixture while kneading it into a smooth and firm dough. You may need approximately 1/4 cup of water.
- 4. Divide the dough into equal-sized balls and roll them out into thin, elongated strips using a rolling pin. The strips should be about 3-4 inches long and 1 inch wide.
- 5. Heat sufficient Sunny Soya Fit refined soybean oil in a deep pan over medium heat for frying.
- 6. Carefully place the rolled dough strips into the hot oil, a few at a time, and fry until they turn golden and crispy. This should take about 2-3 minutes per batch. Remove and drain excess oil on paper towels.
- 7. While frying the Fafda, fry some green chilies alongside for a spicy accompaniment.
- 8. For the papaya chutney, peel and grate the green papaya. In a pan, heat a little oil, add curry leaves, and grated papaya, sauté for a minute. Add 2-3 tablespoons of Madhur sugar, a pinch of salt, and 1-2 tablespoons of Dabur Hommade Lemoneez. Cook until the papaya is tender.
- 9. Serve the Fafda hot with fried chilies and papaya chutney on the side.
