Ingredients
- 125 g Mooz Butter Garlic & Herbes
- 100 g Sambar Onion Peeled
- 1 pack (1 kg) 921 Everyday Long Grain Rice
- 250 ml Coco Mama Coconut Milk
- 500 g Whole Farm Grocery Raisins 500 G
- 50 g Zoff Premium Indian Bay Leaf
- 50 g On1Y Whole Cardamom Green
- 1 pack (50 g) Tmi Colman Laung Cloves
- 1 kg Tata Salt (Vacuum Evaporated Iodised)
- 80 g Urban Platter Cayenne Pepper Powder
Instructions
- 1. Melt 2 tablespoons of butter in a medium saucepan over medium heat.
- 2. Add 1/2 cup of finely chopped onion and sauté until golden brown, about 5 minutes.
- 3. Stir in 1 cup of rice and cook, stirring continuously, until the rice is lightly toasted, about 3 minutes.
- 4. Add 2 cups of coconut milk, 1/4 cup of raisins, 1 bay leaf, 1 cardamom pod, 3 cloves, 1 teaspoon of salt, and 1/4 teaspoon of cayenne pepper. Stir to combine.
- 5. Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce the heat to low. Cover the saucepan and let it simmer for 14 minutes, or until the rice is tender and the liquid is absorbed.
- 6. Remove the bay leaf, cardamom pod, and cloves before serving. Fluff the rice with a fork and serve warm.
