Ingredients
- 100 g Sambar Onion Peeled
- 100 g Celery
- 100 g Milky Mist Cooking Unsalted Butter
- 1 pack (1 kg) 921 Everyday Long Grain Rice
- 1 kg Tata Salt (Vacuum Evaporated Iodised)
- 250 g Mirchi Powder (Bedagi)
- 50 g Zoff Premium Indian Bay Leaf
Instructions
- 1. Heat 1 tbsp butter in a large pot over medium heat. Add 1 cup chopped onion and 1/2 cup chopped celery, and sauté until softened, about 5 minutes.
- 2. Add 1 cup chopped celery to the pot and cook, stirring frequently, until softened, about 8 minutes.
- 3. Stir in 3 cups diced tomatoes, 1/3 cup regular uncooked rice, 1 tsp salt, 1/2 tsp mirchi powder, and 1 bay leaf. Mix well to combine.
- 4. Pour in 3 1/2 cups water and bring the mixture to a boil. Reduce the heat to low, cover the pot, and let it simmer for 20 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- 5. Remove the bay leaf and serve the soup hot for a hearty dinner.
