A healthy and flavorful Odia-style chicken santula, combining tender chicken with steamed vegetables and aromatic spices, cooked in mustard oil for a traditional touch.
Ingredients
- 500 ml Water
- Pcs Chings Masala Chicken Chilli
- 500 G Ridge Gourd/Jhinge Tori(500Gm)
- - Smiles-crispy Happy Potatoes-750 Gms
- 200 ml Mustard Oil
- - Red Chilli
- 20 g Turmeric Powder
- 50 g Cumin Powder
- 250g Green Chilli
- 10G Salt
- 250g Coriander
Instructions
- Step 1: Heat mustard oil in a deep pan or wok over medium heat. Add panch phoran and let it splutter.
- Step 2: Add dry red chilies and sauté for a few seconds until aromatic.
- Step 3: Add the chicken pieces and stir-fry for 5 minutes until lightly browned.
- Step 4: Add turmeric powder, cumin powder, and salt. Mix well.
- Step 5: Add the ridge gourd, drumsticks, potatoes, and carrots to the pan. Stir to combine.
- Step 6: Pour in water and bring the mixture to a boil. Reduce the heat to low, cover, and simmer for 25-30 minutes until the chicken and vegetables are tender.
- Step 7: Add slit green chilies and simmer for another 5 minutes.
- Step 8: Turn off the heat and garnish with fresh coriander leaves before serving.
