Ingredients

  • 200 g Filter Coffee
  • 1 l Homogenised Toned Milk
  • 500 g Sugar

Instructions

  1. 1. Gather all the ingredients: 3 tablespoons of finely ground coffee powder (filter coffee blend), 1.5 cups of water, 1.5 cups of milk, and sugar to taste.
  2. 2. Boil 1.5 cups of water in a kettle or saucepan until it reaches a rolling boil.
  3. 3. While the water is boiling, place the coffee filter on top of the coffee decanter. Add 3 tablespoons of finely ground coffee powder into the filter.
  4. 4. Slowly pour a small amount of hot water (about 2-3 tablespoons) over the coffee powder in the filter to allow it to bloom. Wait for 30 seconds.
  5. 5. Gradually pour the remaining hot water over the coffee powder in a circular motion, ensuring even saturation. Cover the filter with its lid and let the coffee drip into the decanter. This process may take 8-10 minutes.
  6. 6. While the coffee is dripping, heat 1.5 cups of milk in a saucepan over medium heat until it is warm but not boiling. Stir occasionally to prevent scorching.
  7. 7. Once the coffee has fully dripped into the decanter, remove the filter and set it aside.
  8. 8. Pour the brewed coffee into serving cups, filling each cup about one-third full.
  9. 9. Add warm milk to each cup, filling the remaining two-thirds of the cup. Adjust the ratio of coffee to milk based on your preference.
  10. 10. Add sugar to taste and stir well until the sugar is completely dissolved.
  11. 11. Serve the filter coffee hot and enjoy immediately. Optionally, you can pour the coffee back and forth between the cup and a small bowl to create froth before serving.
