Ingredients
- 28 ml Vanilla Essence
- 200 g Cream
- 200 g Butter - Pasteurised
- 400 g Bread - Sandwich
- 1 l Milk
- 6 pcs White Eggs
- 500 g Sugar
- 50 g Cinnamon Powder
- - Good Life Green Raisins/ Kishmish 100 G
Instructions
- 1. Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F) and lightly grease a small baking dish with butter.
- 2. Take 4 slices of bread and cut them into small cubes or tear them into bite-sized pieces. Arrange the bread pieces evenly in the prepared baking dish.
- 3. In a mixing bowl, whisk together 1 cup of milk, 1/4 cup of heavy cream, 1/4 cup of sugar, 1/2 tsp of vanilla extract, and 1/4 tsp of ground cinnamon until the sugar dissolves completely.
- 4. Add 2 tbsp of raisins and 2 tbsp of chopped nuts (such as almonds or walnuts) to the milk mixture and stir well.
- 5. Pour the milk mixture evenly over the bread pieces in the baking dish, ensuring all the bread is soaked. Gently press the bread down with a spoon to help it absorb the liquid.
- 6. Let the mixture sit for 10-15 minutes to allow the bread to fully soak up the custard.
- 7. Place the baking dish in the preheated oven and bake for 30-35 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the custard is set.
- 8. Remove the bread pudding from the oven and let it cool slightly before serving. Optionally, drizzle with caramel sauce or dust with powdered sugar before serving.
