Instructions
- 1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- 2. In a large mixing bowl, combine 1 1/2 cups crabmeat, 2 beaten eggs, 1/4 cup mayonnaise, 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce, 1 teaspoon lemon juice, 1/2 teaspoon salt, 1/2 cup bread crumbs, 1/2 cup diced onion, 1/2 cup diced celery, and 1/2 cup diced bell pepper. Mix well.
- 3. Transfer the mixture into a greased 9 x 13-inch baking dish or divide evenly into 6 individual baking dishes. Smooth the top with a spatula.
- 4. Bake in the preheated oven for 30 minutes, or until the top is golden and set.
- 5. While the base is baking, melt 3/4 stick of butter in a large skillet over medium heat.
- 6. Add 1 pound of peeled and deveined shrimp, 1 pound of scallops, 1/2 cup chopped green onion, and 1/2 cup sliced fresh mushrooms to the skillet. Sauté for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the seafood is cooked through and the vegetables are tender. Drain any excess liquid.
- 7. Once the crab base is baked, remove it from the oven and evenly distribute the sautéed shrimp, scallops, green onion, and mushrooms over the top.
- 8. Prepare a simple cheese sauce (optional) and drizzle it over the seafood layer.
- 9. Return the dish to the oven and bake for an additional 5 minutes, or until the cheese sauce is bubbly and slightly golden.
- 10. Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes before serving. Enjoy your baked seafood medley!
