  • 1 bunch Spring Onion
  • 1 Kg Indian Salmon (Rawas) Fish
  • 80 g Soya Sauce
  • 50 g Honey
  • 500Ml Habit Toasted Sesame Oil Cold Presses
  • - Rice Vinegar
  • 250 g Jasmine Rice
  • 1 pc Broccoli
  • 50 g Black Pepper
  • 100 g Cornflour
  • 60G Primi Piatti Red Chilli Flakes
  • 100 g Til

Instructions

  1. 1. In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, honey, sesame oil, rice vinegar, black pepper, and red chili flakes to create the teriyaki glaze.
  2. 2. Heat a non-stick pan over medium heat and lightly toast the sesame seeds for 1-2 minutes until fragrant. Remove and set aside.
  3. 3. In the same pan, sear the salmon steaks for 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through. Remove and set aside.
  4. 4. Pour the prepared teriyaki glaze into the pan and bring it to a simmer. Mix the cornstarch with a small amount of water to make a slurry, then add it to the glaze, stirring until thickened.
  5. 5. Return the seared salmon steaks to the pan, spoon the teriyaki glaze over them, and cook for an additional 1-2 minutes to coat evenly.
  6. 6. Plate the salmon steaks with a side of cooked jasmine rice and steamed broccoli. Garnish with toasted sesame seeds and chopped spring onions before serving.
