Ingredients

  • 200 ml Mustard Oil
  • 100 g Hing Khoda
  • 500 g Capsicum Green
  • - Frozen Peas
  • 100 g Salt
  • 1 pc (approx. 500 g to 800 g) Cabbage
  • 500 g Tomato - Hybrid
  • 100 g Coriander Leaves
  • - Coriander Powder
  • 100 g Jeera Powder
  • 250 ml Lemon Juice Concentrate
  • 100 g Red Chili Powder
  • 20 g Turmeric Powder
  • 100 g Yellow Mustard Seeds

Instructions

  1. 1. Heat oil in a tawa or shallow pan over medium heat and add mustard seeds. Once they splutter, mix in the hing (asafoetida).
  2. 2. Add diced tomatoes and cook for 3-4 minutes until they soften and release their juices.
  3. 3. Stir in bell peppers, cabbage, and boiled peas, and sauté for 5-7 minutes until the vegetables are cooked but retain a slight crunch.
  4. 4. Add red chili powder, turmeric powder, cumin powder, coriander powder, and salt, and mix well to coat the vegetables evenly.
  5. 5. Toss in the idli cubes and gently stir for 2-3 minutes, ensuring they soak up the masala without breaking apart.
  6. 6. Sprinkle fresh cilantro and drizzle lemon juice over the dish for a burst of freshness.
