- 200 ml Mustard Oil
- 100 g Hing Khoda
- 500 g Capsicum Green
- - Frozen Peas
- 100 g Salt
- 1 pc (approx. 500 g to 800 g) Cabbage
- 500 g Tomato - Hybrid
- 100 g Coriander Leaves
- - Coriander Powder
- 100 g Jeera Powder
- 250 ml Lemon Juice Concentrate
- 100 g Red Chili Powder
- 20 g Turmeric Powder
- 100 g Yellow Mustard Seeds
Instructions
- 1. Heat oil in a tawa or shallow pan over medium heat and add mustard seeds. Once they splutter, mix in the hing (asafoetida).
- 2. Add diced tomatoes and cook for 3-4 minutes until they soften and release their juices.
- 3. Stir in bell peppers, cabbage, and boiled peas, and sauté for 5-7 minutes until the vegetables are cooked but retain a slight crunch.
- 4. Add red chili powder, turmeric powder, cumin powder, coriander powder, and salt, and mix well to coat the vegetables evenly.
- 5. Toss in the idli cubes and gently stir for 2-3 minutes, ensuring they soak up the masala without breaking apart.
- 6. Sprinkle fresh cilantro and drizzle lemon juice over the dish for a burst of freshness.
- 7. Serve hot as a standalone breakfast dish or pair with coconut chutney for added flavor.
