- 1 kg Basmati Rice
- 100 g Tamarind Paste
- 100G Oleo
- - Dry Red Chillies
- 500 g Chana Dal
- 500 g Urad Dal
- 100 g Coriander Leaves
- 100 g Curry Leaves
- 500g Good Life Raw Peanuts 500 G
- 500 g Jaggery Powder
- 100 g Jeera
- 100 g Red Chili Powder
- 100 g Salt
- 20 g Turmeric Powder
- 100 g Yellow Mustard Seeds
Instructions
- 1. Rinse the basmati rice thoroughly and cook it until just tender. Spread it on a plate to cool and prevent clumping.
- 2. Heat vegetable oil in a pan over medium heat. Add mustard seeds and let them splutter, followed by cumin seeds, dried red chilies, and curry leaves. Sauté for 30 seconds until aromatic.
- 3. Add chana dal and urad dal to the pan, stirring until they turn golden brown. Toss in the roasted peanuts and sauté for another minute.
- 4. Mix in turmeric powder, red chili powder, and tamarind pulp. Cook for 2-3 minutes, stirring frequently to blend the flavors.
- 5. Add the cooked rice to the pan, gently mixing to coat the grains evenly with the tamarind mixture. Adjust salt to taste and add jaggery for a hint of sweetness, if desired.
- 6. Cook for another 2 minutes on low heat, ensuring the rice absorbs the flavors. Turn off the heat and garnish with fresh coriander leaves.
