Ingredients
- 100 g Garlic - Single Clove
- 60G Primi Piatti Red Chilli Flakes
- 500 g Weikfield Cornstarch Amazingly Versatile Gluten Free
- 20 Ltr Rice Vinegar Mizkan Suehiro Su
- 1 Combo Fortune Rice Bran 870G & Mustard Oil 1L Pouch
- 900 G Kikkoman Naturally Brewed Dark Soy Sauce
- 1 kg Whole Farm Brown Sugar
Instructions
- 1. Trim any excess fat from the pork chops and set them aside.
- 2. In a microwave-safe dish, combine 1 tablespoon of oil and 1 minced clove of garlic. Spread the mixture evenly across the bottom of the dish.
- 3. Microwave the garlic and oil mixture on High power for 1 minute to release the garlic's aroma.
- 4. In a separate bowl, mix 3 tablespoons of soy sauce, 1 1/2 tablespoons of brown sugar, and 1/4 teaspoon of red pepper flakes to create the sauce.
- 5. Place the pork chops in the microwave-safe dish, turning them to coat evenly with the garlic oil. Pour the prepared sauce over the chops, ensuring they are well-coated.
- 6. Cover the dish with wax paper and microwave on High power for 4 minutes, turning the chops and rotating the dish halfway through.
- 7. Keep the dish covered and microwave on Medium power for 12 to 15 minutes, or until the pork chops are fully cooked and no pink remains in the center.
- 8. Transfer the cooked pork chops to a serving dish and keep them warm.
- 9. In a small bowl, dissolve 1 1/2 teaspoons of cornstarch in 1 1/2 tablespoons of water. Stir this mixture into the juices left in the microwave-safe dish.
- 10. Microwave the sauce on High power for 1 to 2 minutes, or until it thickens to a glaze-like consistency.
- 11. Pour the thickened sauce over the pork chops and serve immediately.
