Ingredients

  • 200 g Dahi
  • 250 g Carrot
  • 500 g Onion
  • 200 ml Mustard Oil
  • 100 g Salt
  • 100 g Coriander Leaves
  • 1 kg Bell Peppers
  • 500 g Tomato - Hybrid
  • medium Chilli Green Long
  • 100 g Curry Leaves
  • 50g Everest Garam Masala
  • 100 g Red Chili Powder
  • 20 g Turmeric Powder
  • 100 g Yellow Mustard Seeds

Instructions

  1. 1. In a mixing bowl, combine the multigrain idli mix with yogurt and a little water to form a smooth batter. Let it rest for 15 minutes.
  2. 2. While the batter rests, heat oil in a pan on medium flame. Add mustard seeds and let them splutter, then add curry leaves and sauté briefly.
  3. 3. Add chopped onions and green chili to the pan, and sauté until onions turn translucent. Stir in the turmeric powder, red chili powder, and garam masala.
  4. 4. Add the chopped bell peppers, grated carrot, and tomatoes. Cook for 5-7 minutes until the vegetables soften, then season with salt. Set aside the topping.
  5. 5. Grease idli molds and pour the rested batter into the molds. Steam the idlis for 10-12 minutes until cooked through.
  6. 6. Once the idlis are ready, arrange them in a serving bowl. Top with the prepared vegetable mixture and garnish with coriander leaves.
