  • 200Ml Kara Coconut Milk Classic (200ml)
  • - Coconut Oil
  • 200 g Roasted Chana Dal
  • 100 g Kaju Kani
  • - Dry Red Chillies
  • 500 Grms Bajra Atta Millets Atta 500 Grms
  • 100 g Curry Leaves
  • 100 g Jeera
  • 100 g Yellow Mustard Seeds
  • 500 g Tomato - Hybrid
  • - Grated Coconut
  • 100 g Coriander Leaves
  • 50 g Asafoetida Powder
  • 100 g Salt
  • 20 g Turmeric Powder

Instructions

  1. 1. Rinse the foxtail millet thoroughly in cold water and soak for 15 minutes. Drain and set aside.
  2. 2. Heat coconut oil in a pan over medium heat. Add mustard seeds, cumin seeds, curry leaves, asafoetida, and dried red chilies, and sauté until fragrant.
  3. 3. Add the roasted chana dal and cashews to the pan, stirring for 2-3 minutes until lightly golden.
  4. 4. Mix in the chopped tomato, turmeric powder, and salt, cooking for another 2-3 minutes until the tomatoes soften.
  5. 5. Add the soaked millet to the pan and stir well, ensuring the millet is coated with the spices and aromatics.
  6. 6. Pour in the coconut milk and 150ml of water. Bring the mixture to a gentle simmer, cover, and cook for 12-15 minutes until the millet is tender and absorbs all the liquid.
  7. 7. Turn off the heat, fluff the millet with a fork, and garnish with freshly grated coconut and chopped coriander leaves.
