Ingredients

  • 100 g Broccoli Florets
  • 100 g Celery Stalk
  • 200 g Ginger
  • 640Ml Hisashi Shao Hsing Hua Tua Chiew
  • 80 g Knorr Vegetables Stock Cubes
  • 900 G Kikkoman Naturally Brewed Dark Soy Sauce
  • 1 kg Whole Farm Brown Sugar
  • 107 g Weikfield Corn Flour (Starch) -Gluten Free

Instructions

  1. 1. Heat a heavy large skillet or wok over high heat. Add 2 tbsp of vegetable stock dissolved in water and stir-fry for 1-2 minutes to create a flavorful base.
  2. 2. Add 2 cups of broccoli florets and 4 stalks of celery (sliced) to the skillet. Stir-fry for 2-3 minutes until the broccoli turns bright green and the celery softens slightly.
  3. 3. In a small bowl, mix 3 tbsp soy sauce, 1 tbsp Shao Hsing Hua Tua Chiew, 1 tbsp brown sugar, and 1/2 tsp freshly grated ginger. Pour this mixture into the skillet and stir to coat the vegetables evenly.
  4. 4. In another small bowl, dissolve 2 tbsp corn flour in 2 tbsp cold water to create a slurry. Add this to the skillet and reduce the heat to low.
  5. 5. Simmer the mixture, stirring occasionally, until the sauce thickens, about 2-3 minutes. Remove from heat and serve hot over steamed rice.
