- 500 Ml Champion Oil
Instructions
- 1. Gather all the required ingredients: 2 medium-sized potatoes (aloo), 2 cups of puffed rice (muri), 1 small onion (finely chopped), 1 small tomato (finely chopped), 1 green chili (finely chopped), 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder, 1/2 teaspoon red chili powder, 1/2 teaspoon cumin seeds, 1/2 teaspoon mustard seeds, 1/2 teaspoon chaat masala, 1 tablespoon cooking oil, fresh coriander leaves (for garnishing), and salt to taste.
- 2. Wash and peel the potatoes, then cut them into small, bite-sized cubes.
- 3. Heat 1 tablespoon of cooking oil in a pan over medium heat.
- 4. Add 1/2 teaspoon of cumin seeds and 1/2 teaspoon of mustard seeds to the hot oil. Let them splutter.
- 5. Add the chopped green chili and sauté for a few seconds until fragrant.
- 6. Add the finely chopped onion to the pan and sauté until it turns translucent.
- 7. Add the chopped tomato to the pan and cook until it becomes soft and mushy.
- 8. Add the cubed potatoes to the pan and mix well with the onion-tomato mixture.
- 9. Sprinkle 1/2 teaspoon of turmeric powder, 1/2 teaspoon of red chili powder, and salt to taste over the potatoes. Mix thoroughly to coat the potatoes evenly with the spices.
- 10. Cover the pan with a lid and let the potatoes cook on medium-low heat for about 8-10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until they are tender and fully cooked.

- 15. Garnish with freshly chopped coriander leaves.
